Daily Intention
I think I’m going to stop drinking 120 oz of water a dayI’ve been reading a few things talking about how too much water can hinder kidney function, cause headaches, and cause swelling in your extremities (as well as more serious side effects like seizures and death). I’ve been drinking 120oz of water per day on top of the water that I consume in my diet and sometimes I even have more then 120 oz. I’ve been getting headaches again recently and my legs are swelling up and retaining water on a daily basis. I’m wondering if it may be connected to my water intake. I think I’m going to drop it down to something like 80-90 oz. and see if I notice any positive difference in how I feel. Here’s two of the many of the articles I just read: http://www.livestrong.com/article/405867-can-you-drink-too-much-water-trying-to-lose-weight/ http://www.livestrong.com/article/448446-can-drinking-too-much-water-hurt-your-kidneys/ ![]() ![]() I always hear this in the voice of Rick Ross when I read it…anyone else? ![]()
^So true, I downloaded this song after hearing it in the Nike ad awhile ago but today was the first day it came on while I was on the elliptical and it was AMAZING! ![]()
![]() People hate to hear that this is really the only way to lose weight and keep it off. I can’t tell you how many people are like “Oh my god, how did you lose 40lbs!?!” I’m like “Counting calories and exercise.” then they put their head down, slump their shoulders and look deflated like “Oh…that again.” Like they were expecting me to say some sort of miracle diet that required no effort, *sigh* silly people…get off your ass! :) ![]() ![]() |
My name is Jessica. I'm 23. I lost almost 40lbs in 2010 by working out (mostly EA Active for the Wii) and counting calories (livestrong.com's MyPlate feature). After I hit my weight goal at the time (135) I stopped being so strict about what I put in my body and stopped working out, when I stepped on the scale again I had gained back weight, of course. I always end up get back down to around 135 and the cycle repeats. No more. My goal is no longer only a number on a scale. It's to be stronger, more toned, healthier, and happier. My current plan is to get my weight down to the mid-range of a healthy BMI for my height (120-125) by eating no more then 1,350 net calories each day and working out at least 4 days a week. Once that goal is reached, I'll continue to work out to tone and build up strength as well as improve my stamina. No limits, no end point, just progress.
Height: 5'1.5" Reward: Trip to the Nike Outlet store (which is apparently amazing and cheap) This is a Fitblr, I only support healthy weight loss. I've been a vegetarian for almost 6 years now.
